All is going well; lots of District Workshops coming up on April 4th District IV Silver City, April 18th District I Las Vegas, and May 18th Farmington. I am looking forward to traveling to all this places out of town and hope to see my Board for another meeting in Albuquerque as we covered a lot of ground. Hope to see you all again soon! Board of Directors 2017-2018 President Doris Montoya Alta Vista Regional Hospital, Las Vegas President-Elect Linda Zuflacht Miners' Colfax Medical Center, Raton Secretary Debby Tillman San Juan Regional Medical Center, Farmington Treasurer Gregg Ferran PEH, Espanola Immediate Past- President Joyce Martinez Alta Vista Regional Hospital, Las Vegas We have lost five members through death and moving away. Thus we are down to 15 members. Despite our size we can be proud of our State President for 2017-18, Doris Montoya; District 1 Chairman, Delicia Pacheco; State Auxilian of the year 2017, Connie Mascarenas; and a Past State President 2000-01 & 2003-04, Carol Searcy. Our officers for 2018 are: President Delicia Pacheco Vice President Kathy Underwood. Secretary Janet Remenyik Treasurer Benita Zimmer* Past President Carol Searcy * Benita is on indefinite sick leave with Carol Searcy filling in as treasurer. Again this year we have awarded $9000 to Qualifying Nursing Students in order to enhance the supply of valuable nurses for New Mexico. Since 2002 we have help fund the education of 40 students to the tune of $180,000. We supplied furnishings for the education classroom within the Hospital. It will be available for activities for the Auxiliary, Medical Staff and other needs for educational activities. Chuck Searcy, Public Relations Chairman
